Please join us this weekend for a special teaching and transmission on Bon Dzogchen Trekchod. Trekchod is the practice of open presence called great non-action. It is the practice of maintaining the spontaneous presence of intrinsic awareness in its genuine naked state without any mental fabrication or modification.
The heart essence of Bon Dzogchen is Todgal and the foundation of Togal is Trekchod. Without mastering Trekchod, the genuine essence of Togal cannot be experienced.
In this weekend’s teachings, Tempa Lama will explain
- The direct introduction to the natural state,
- How to cease mental fabrications
- How to genuinely rest in the natural state
- How to integrate the view of Dzogchen with everyday life through the actions of our body, speech, and mind.
After faithfully repairing our 33-year old furnace for many years, it stopped working entirely today and needs to be replaced urgently as it is the only source of heating for Olmo Ling temple, our office/bookstore, kitchen, and bathroom.
The cost of the furnace plus installation is estimated at $6,000.It will be more efficient and will also reduce heating expenses.
You can donate below via credit card or PayPal or by mailing a check to Olmo Ling, 1101 Greenfield Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15217 with a note “furnace”.
Thank you so much for your generosity and support! Please visit this page again soon for fundraising updates.

The Six Lamps: Bon Dzogchen Todgal Teaching & Transmission from Zhang Zhung Nyen Gyud
March 28 & 29, April 4 & 5, 2026, With Tempa Lama in-person & via ZoomIn this special two-weekend teaching, Tempa Dukte Lama will build on the Trekchod teaching offered on March 7-8 with the teaching and transmission of the heart essence of Bon Dzogchen Todgal practice according to the Six Lamps.
The main practice of Dzogchen is Todgal and Trekchod. Todgal is the development of vision practice in Dzogchen. Through Todgal practice with the Six Lamps, we point out where intrinsic awareness abides, which path it follows, through which door it exits, and in what form it appears.

Participants are welcome to join both the Ngondro / Preliminary teachings of Bon Buddhism (6:00 PM EST) and Silent Meditation (6:30 PM EST) or either of the two sessions. You do not need to practice Bon Buddhism to attend Silent Meditation starting at 6:30 PM EST.
The Wednesday evening practice at Olmo Ling Temple is free and open to all. This practice will offer the experience of meditating in a group. Group meditation is helpful in establishing a regular, stable meditation practice.
Silence will be observed throughout (from the second ringing of the bell following the opening chant). There will be two 20-minute sitting sessions separated by a 10 minute walking meditation. We will attempt to start on time so that we will not finish too late.
