In Memoriam, Dr. Stanley Perelman

Our Dear Friend and Community Member

Dear Friends,

I am writing with sadness to share that our dear community member, friend, and long-term supporter Stan Perelman passed away on Sunday in his home.

Dr. Stan Perelman has been a Bon practitioner since the 1990s, well before we opened Olmo Ling Bon Center in Pittsburgh in 2007. Stan joined us at our very first public event in Pittsburgh in summer 2007 and has been a beloved pillar of our community ever since. He served on the Olmo Ling board for several years, sharing his insight and experience, and made many generous gifts to Olmo Ling to enable our temple to grow and flourish. Without Stan’s loving support and dedication to Bon practice, our temple would not be what it is today. A psychologist and Jungian Analyst by training, Stan has helped many people over many years of private practice and through giving lectures and teachings on the interweaving of Bon practice and clinical work. We are very grateful that he has also served as faculty for teachings at Olmo Ling on compassionately assisting the dying and incorporating contemplative practices into clinical work.
