Bon Soul Retrieval Ritual

with Tempa Dukte Lama
Saturday, July 16 – Sunday, July 17, 2022

9:30am – 1:00pm EST online and in-person

Simultaneous translation will be available in Spanish and Russian online, please check back soon for updates!

Tempa Dukte Lama will offer the Longevity Tse Drup and Soul Retrieval ritual practice and explain its benefits. This powerful ancient Bon ritual offers great blessings for all those attending or supporting the ritual by restoring, healing and nurturing the strength and vibrancy of the soul and life force.

The soul is the pure strength of the internal elements. Its primary function is to support and nurture the connection between our life force and lifespan. The second function is that it strengthens and nurtures the relationship between the physical body and the mind. The soul abides in the mind, and the mind abides in the body. When the soul is weakened, this affects the relationship between our life force and life span and the relationship between the physical body and the mind. When the soul and life force are weakened or disturbed, we become vulnerable toward physical, mental, and emotional misfortunes. In some cases, untimely death or major disturbances in different aspects of our life situation can occur. The Awakened One Tonpa Shenrab taught and implemented the powerful Bon ritual of bLa bsLu ‘Chi bsLu (Soul Retrieval) to retrieve and heal our soul and life force. This ritual relies on the power of meditative absorption, prayers, mantras, and visualization. Since the time of its teaching, this precious ritual has flourished and has been practiced for thousands of years until now, benefiting countless beings.

On Saturday, Tempa Dukte Lama will teach and explain the Longevity Tse Drup and Soul Retrieval ritual practice. They will explain why Soul Retrieval is needed and the benefits of this ritual. On Sunday, both lamas will offer the Longevity Tse Drup and Soul Retrieval ritual for the benefit of the community and all beings.

Please choose the appropriate registration option as you register! Participants on Zoom can follow the ritual live and join the two lamas for the recitation of the Tse Drup longevity mantra. Registered participants will receive a handout with the mantra and an outline of the ritual via email the day before the teaching (Friday).

Once registered you will receive a form to fill out your name and those names of whom you would like included in the prayers

If you are unable to attend, we invite you to support the ritual with a donation and fill out of form with the names of those you would like included in the prayers. Sponsoring the preparatory prayers for the ritual is a powerful way to support the ritual and partake in its great merit and benefits.
