We invite you to join us for this powerful ritual of the ancient Tibetan Bon tradition. We are pleased to have two Tibetan Bon lamas, Geshe Nyima Kunkyap and Tempa Dukte Lama, jointly perform the fire puja ritual of the Red Garuda.
The Red Garuda is an enlightened deity of Bon who emanates in the form of each of the five elements, earth, water, fire, air, and space. At the time of fire puja, the Red Garuda and its retinue transform into the wisdom fire deity. This ritual has the power to pacify and clear all obstacles in our lives, both obstacles of form and formless obstacles such as the eight classes of spirits. Beyond this, karmic traces that we have accumulated over many lives and which now hinder our spiritual progress, health and happiness, can be burnt by the power of the body, speech, and mind of the Red Garuda deity. The ritual helps us purify the two obscurations of affliction and intellect and accumulate the merit and wisdom through which we progress on the spiritual path of compassion and wisdom. It can clear away all sorts of diseases, protect us from misfortunes and natural calamities, and most importantly, it can bring peace and happiness to our relationships and the place we live in.
Sponsoring the prayer ceremony for this ritualWe offer the opportunity for anyone to offer a donation in support of the ritual prayers for their own wellbeing and the wellbeing and benefit of family and friends.
