In this special weekend teaching, Menri Shedrup Khenpo and Tempa Lama will give a profound and precise instruction of the Golden Mirror Introduction to the Bardo from both Bon Tantra and Dzogchen.
This teaching will be held in English. Simultaneous translation will be available in Spanish/Espanol, French/Francais, and Russian.
Instructions for the Bardo of Dying: The Son Returning to the Mother’s Lap- At the time when the person is grasped by death, yet, the external death has not occurred yet: the instruction of how the five elements dissolve, how the five major channels reverse, how the five energy centers dissolve, and how the five winds escape.
- Introduction to the fivefold external, internal, and secret signs of death
- Introduction to the external, internal, and secret vision of the fivefold deities
- At the time when external death happens and the internal death has not occurred yet: the introduction to the three experiences of appearance, increase, and attainment.
- Introduction to the momentary cessation of the 82 delusions of affliction and threefold delusions of intellect
- Finally, introduction to the appearance of the clear light of death
- For practitioners of superior capacity, introduction to the visions of the Five Buddha Fields
- For practitioners of intermediate capacity, introduction to the appearance of the fivefold clear light visions
- For practitioners of lesser capacity, introduction to the arising of the threefold vision of sound, light, and rays
- Introduction to how the vision of the Bardo of Becoming arises
- Introduction to the sixfold uncertain signs
- Introduction to the four fearful enemies
About Menri Shedrup Khenpo Geshe Nyima Dhondup Rinpoche
Menri Shedrup Khenpo Geshe Nyima Dhondup Rinpoche received novice ordination from His Holiness the late 33rd Menri Trizin, Lungtok Tenpai Nyima Rinpoche, and His Eminence Menri Ponlop Yangton Thinley Nyima Rinpoche in 1992 upon entering the Bon Dialectic School. After completing over 15 years of study of Bon Dzogchen, Tantra, Sutra and the five major and minor sciences of Bon he received his Geshe degree on March 15, 2006. On February 25, 2012 he was enthroned as the Menri Shedrup Khenpo, the abbot of the Bon Dialectic School at Menri.
We are deeply honored and grateful that Menri Shedrup Khenpo Rinpoche will teach again at Olmo Ling and share his vast knowledge, his profound practice, and genuine compassion and joy.
Rinpoche has been teaching Bon Dzogchen, Tantra, and Sutra to the monks enrolled at the Bon Dialectic School for more than 15 years. As the Abbot of the Bon Dialectic School, Rinpoche oversees the teaching for the monks studying towards the Geshe (Doctor of Philosophy) degree. He is the author of several books on the philosophical teachings of the Bon tradition, has been invited speaker at major Bon and Buddhist conferences, and has contributed to a number of articles for Bon-sGo, the Tibetan language periodical journal of Menri Monastery.

Anyone can select the low fee level, however, we rely on and gratefully appreciate contributions for the mid income and high income level.
