ADVANCED COURSE, PREREQUISTE: PLEASE ONLY REGISTER IF YOU HAVE ATTENDED THE EARLIER TEACHINGS OF THE SIDPA GYALMO TEACHING CYCLE.
This teaching is the final part of our cycle of Sidpa Gyalmo teachings offered by Tempa Lama, along with the Invocation of Sidpa Gyalmo and Yeshe Walmo offered this April, the Sidpa Gyalmo Healing & Healing Waters Practice taught this April and May, the Sidpa Gyalmo Longevity & Prosperity Practice offered this May, Sidpa Gyalmo Dokpa offered this June, and the Sidpa Gyalmo Tsok.
Tempa Lama asks that you only register if you have attended all teachings of this cycle at Olmo Ling either this year or in previous years (one teaching missed is fine EXCEPT the invocation practice, which is necessary as it is part of the divination practice).
We are excited to announce that Tempa Dukte Lama will be offering this special teaching, training, and transmission on the powerful divination practice of Sidpa Gyalmo called, “Clairvoyance Mirror of the Srid rGyal of the Six Times”. In Tibet, people have relied on utilizing divination or Mo throughout many centuries to help them make important decisions in their lives, be it about relationships and family, health, the purchase of property, travel, work, new projects, or spiritual practice.
Divination practice relies on the practitioner’s deep connection with a protector deity. In this divination practice, the deity is Sidpa Gyalmo, the Queen of the Universe and chief protector deity of Bon. Through one’s meditative absorption the blessing and clairvoyance of the deity are sought. In this practice, the practitioner invokes the blessings and wisdom of Sidpa Gyalmo as a means to assess the benefit of different choices.
The teaching will take place over several weekends due to the level of detail needed.
Participants will learn:- Week 1: The background and history of this practice, the role of the yidam (protector deity), and divination ritual preparation
- Week 1: How to chant the invocation of Sidpa Gyalmo, the meaning of the invocation liturgy, and how to use this practice to deepen our connection with the deity
- Weeks 2 & 3: How to perform the divination ritual
- Weeks 2 & 3: How to interpret different outcomes of the divination ritual
Participants will receive the specific liturgy and handout for each weekend. Participants will be emailed the zoom link and handouts a day before each teaching on Fridays
