Essence of the Three Heart Mantras of Bon
Mexico City, Mexico with Tempa Dukte Lama
Sat. Sept 28 & Sun Sept 29, 2013In this weekend Retreat, Tempa Lama will offer the teaching and transmission of the Three Heart Mantras of Bon. These mantras of the ancient Tibetan Bon tradition are powerful practices to awaken our mind to its innate potential of purity, non-dual awareness, and healing. Each of the three mantras is practiced traditionally as a complete practice toward liberation. These three practices are also part of the Bon Ngondro or preliminary practices that open our mind and heart toward the higher practices of Tantra and Dzogchen.
Du Tri Su is a powerful mantra for healing and the transformation of suffering. It strengthens our vital energy and clears obstacles in our own life and in the lives of others.Through the practice of Ma Tri we clear the suffering of the six realms and transform the afflictions of ignorance, anger-hatred, desire-attachment, jealousy, envy, and pride into wisdom.
The practice of Sa Le Od is the meditation on the nature of the mind. It helps us to reconnect with this pure nature and abide in non-dual awareness.
During these two days of teaching and practice, Tempa Lama will offer teachings, instructions on the practice of the Three Heart Mantras, and guide us through the practice of each mantra.
