Vesak in Pittsburgh! – A Celebration of Shakyamuni Buddha’s birth, enlightenment, and parinirvana

Join us for the 6th Annual Vesak Celebration jointly offered by the various Buddhist groups in Pittsburgh and Olmo Ling Bon Center. Everyone is welcome.

Highlights of the event are the bathing of Baby Buddha, chanting and offerings, Sutra recitation, Dharma words, a guided Meditation for World Peace, and a procession to Allegheny Landing for a ceremony releasing blessed water into the rivers wishing peace for the world. A reception will follow. Includes a Children’s Program offered by Olmo Ling Youth Sangha Coordinator Bonnie Weiss.
